The Heart(2019)

The Heart is a drama about guilt, redemption, and second chances. Boxer TAN Kai accidentally kills his teammate WANG Yao during what should be his final match. WANG's heart is transplanted into a young girl, LI Chuan, and TAN Kai, consumed by remorse, seeks her out. The two form an unlikely bond. When LI Chuan's body begins rejecting the organ and she needs expensive surgery to survive, TAN Kai faces an impossible choice: return to the ring one last time to earn the money needed to save her life. The film explores the weight of responsibility and whether one act of violence can be balanced by sacrifice and love.
