The Afghan Caravan(2011)

The Afghan Caravan is a Cold War thriller about a dangerous game played by superpowers. Soviet soldier Alexander Vetrov is captured by mujahideen fighters in Afghanistan and forced to join a drug caravan as his only path home. What neither Vetrov nor the caravan's leader realize is that Soviet customs officers and US intelligence agencies are already tracking the shipment, using it as part of a covert operation. Caught between warring factions and shadowy government interests, Vetrov must navigate a web of deception where every player has a hidden agenda. The film explores the moral ambiguity of Cold War espionage, where ordinary soldiers become pawns in larger geopolitical schemes.
