Unnai Kodu Ennai Tharuven(2000)

Unnai Kodu Ennai Tharuven is a Tamil drama following Surya, a soldier raised in army barracks in Ooty after his mother surrenders him as an infant to a brigadier. Grown into a patriotic and decorated soldier, Surya falls in love with Indu, daughter of an army officer. Her parents approve the match, but tragedy strikes when Indu's father dies in a bomb blast and her mother follows from grief. Devastated and terrified of losing Surya to war, Indu forces him to choose between his military duty and their marriage. The film explores the collision between personal love and national obligation, as Surya grapples with an impossible decision that will define his future.
