Ambubagging(2016)
Ambubagging is a South Korean film that follows intern Kim Min-ji as she performs emergency resuscitation on 86-year-old patient Lee Sook-ja, whose condition is rapidly deteriorating. With Sook-ja's grandson and legal guardian nowhere to be found despite repeated calls, Min-ji finds herself the sole caregiver in a critical moment. The tension escalates when Min-ji receives an urgent call from her mother: her sister is in labor and needs her immediately. Caught between her professional duty to a dying patient and her family obligation, Min-ji faces an impossible choice that forces her to confront what matters most. The film explores the collision between personal responsibility and institutional care through a single, agonizing decision.
