Thalaimagan(2006)

Thalaimagan is a Tamil film about investigative journalist Dheeran, determined to expose the corruption of a powerful minister and his complicit police chief. At the heart of the story is a bottled water plant approved for a village through corrupt dealings. Dheeran opposes the project, knowing it will devastate local groundwater reserves, and works to alert both the public and authorities to the threat. When the minister's influence proves insufficient to stop him, he turns to violence, targeting the newspaper owner who publishes Dheeran's findings. The journalist must navigate escalating danger as he pursues the truth against entrenched political power.
