Mendilim Kekik Kokuyor(2020)

Mendilim Kekik Kokuyor is a Turkish historical drama set during the Gallipoli campaign of World War I. In an Anatolian town, cousins Hasan and Yusuf both fall for a woman named Elif, who harbors feelings for one of them but keeps her choice secret. Before departing for the Çanakkale Front, Yusuf confesses his love and steals a thyme-scented handkerchief Elif had made for Hasan. The two cousins, along with other volunteers, journey toward the front where they encounter Rüstem Çavuş, a Karagöz puppeteer, and Eftal, a man from Istanbul. During their passage, some volunteers are killed in an attack at Anzac, while Hasan, Yusuf, and their companions are captured and imprisoned. The film explores love, loyalty, and sacrifice against the backdrop of one of history's most brutal conflicts.
