Female(2005)

Female is a five-part anthology film bringing together stories by female authors. Each short is directed by a different filmmaker: Shinya Tsukamoto, Tetsuo Shinohara, Ryuichi Hiroki, Miwa Nishikawa, and Suzuki Matsuo. The collection draws from literary sources written by women, translating distinct narrative voices to the screen. With multiple directors at the helm, Female offers varied perspectives and styles across its segments, creating a mosaic of contemporary storytelling rooted in women's literature.
