Nishida Shiori: Shiori is a documentary film capturing the creation of idol Nishida Shiori's debut photobook in Kyoto. The project explores a fictional premise: what if Shiori were simply a high school girl in her hometown rather than a public figure? Shot across Kyoto's most iconic locations, the film follows her through historic streets, Western-style buildings, and traditional spaces like Arashiyama's bamboo groves and folk houses. She's photographed playing piano, swimming in rivers, wearing yukata, and visiting sacred Kyudo halls and the Kamogawa riverbank at sunset. The film blends intimate portraiture with Kyoto's atmospheric landscapes, creating a meditative look at identity, place, and the contrast between public persona and private self.
