Anak-anak Revolusi
Anak-anak Revolusi(1964)
Anak-anak Revolusi is an Indonesian war film set during the final days of Japanese occupation, when surrender remains uncertain. A fourteen-year-old boy volunteers for the revolutionary army to avenge his father, imprisoned for murder on the island of Nusa Kambangan. His fearlessness and extreme tactics catch the attention of his commander, who promotes him to section head despite his age and inexperience leading older soldiers. The boy accepts increasingly perilous missions, but his recklessness exacts a terrible price: one of his men is killed in combat. The dead soldier's girlfriend then joins the unit seeking revenge, only to meet the same tragic fate. The film explores the brutal cost of war through the eyes of youth caught in Indonesia's struggle for independence.
