Bloques(2008)
Bloques is a Venezuelan film told through two parallel narratives. In the first, Manuel, a withdrawn and solitary man whose drinking and emotional distance have alienated his son, finds unexpected hope when Norma, a bartender, enters his life. The second story follows the Aristigueta family, once wealthy but now struggling after their father's poor financial decisions. Alejandra, the eldest daughter, returns from years abroad in New York to confront her family's decline and her own disconnection from her homeland, while her brother Francisco navigates survival in the neighborhood's streets. Both stories explore how personal crises force characters toward self-discovery and reckoning with their relationships and circumstances.
