Compassing is a documentary film following surfer and adventurer Cyrus Sutton as he travels the western coast of North America in a custom-built camper van. After meticulously renovating his vehicle through cutting, sanding, welding, and staining, Sutton embarks on a journey to discover quality waves and meaningful human connections. The film captures his road adventures across diverse landscapes and coastal breaks, documenting both the freedom and challenges of van life. Produced in partnership with Reef, Compassing presents an intimate portrait of modern nomadic exploration, blending Sutton's passion for surfing with his broader search for authentic experiences on the open road.
