Lithium is an experimental film that explores mental health through movement and abstraction. A woman's body becomes the canvas for visualizing the effects of lithium carbonate, the psychiatric medication used to treat bipolar disorder's manic episodes. Through dance, the film captures the drug's impact on symptoms like insomnia, impulsive behavior, and hyperactivity. Rather than a conventional narrative, Lithium uses physical expression and choreography to examine the internal experience of chemical treatment and mood stabilization. The film transforms medical science into visceral, artistic language, inviting viewers to witness how medication reshapes consciousness and behavior from the inside out.
