Tornado Range is a 1947 western starring Eddie Dean as a troubleshooter for the U.S. Land Office sent to stop a brutal range war. Homesteaders and cattlemen are locked in conflict, but Dean soon discovers a hidden third party deliberately stoking the violence to seize the land for themselves. The film subverts expectations by casting veteran PRC villain George Cheseboro as the father of heroine Jennifer Holt rather than the antagonist. Roscoe Ates provides comic relief throughout. One of five Eddie Dean westerns produced by PRC and released by Eagle-Lion, Tornado Range delivers straightforward frontier action and intrigue typical of the studio's prolific output during this era.
