Throb(1986)

Throb is an American sitcom that aired in syndication from 1986 to 1988. The series follows Sandy Beatty, a thirty-something divorcee who lands a job at a small New Wave record label called Throb. Navigating the music industry with her young son Jeremy and a colorful cast of coworkers—including her laid-back boss Zach Armstrong and the free-spirited Blue—Sandy balances professional ambitions with single motherhood. In the second season, Sandy and Blue become roommates in a penthouse apartment, and their clashing personalities drive much of the comedy. The show marked early television appearances for future stars Jane Leeves, who would later play Daphne Moon on Frasier, and a young Paul Walker in his first major role.
