Quartet(2016)

Quartet is a Russian drama series following four gifted music students at a provincial conservatory who dream of winning an international competition. Their shared ambition masks deeper struggles. Andrey, the first violinist, battles kleptomania that threatens to unravel his life. Polina, second violin, works as a prostitute to afford the strings and concert dress her art demands. Masha, the viola player, lives with schizophrenia and believes the quartet channels spirits from a mystical fifth world. Nastya, the cellist, carries a dangerous secret under an assumed identity—unaware that criminals are closing in. As rehearsals intensify and personal demons surface, the four musicians must confront whether their collective dream can survive the weight of their individual truths.
