Ryan(1973)

Ryan is an Australian adventure series that aired on the Seven Network from May 1973, produced by Crawford Productions across 39 one-hour episodes. Rod Mullinar stars as Ryan, a charming private investigator navigating cases with the help of his assistant, played by New Zealand actor Pamela Stephenson. The cast includes Tony Angelini, a taxi driver who serves as Ryan's street-level informant, and Detective Cullen, his contact within the police department. Shot entirely on colour film with international distribution in mind, Ryan blends mystery and action in the style of 1970s television adventure. Though the Seven Network's initial order covered only 55 percent of production costs, the series' polished production values and engaging ensemble cast made it an attractive prospect for overseas markets.
