Markuss(2019)

Markuss is a Ukrainian-Latvian drama series that follows Polina, a mother whose son Mark vanished from kindergarten five years earlier. When she spots a boy matching his description on a Latvian news broadcast, she becomes obsessed with finding him. Frustrated by police inaction, she enlists an ex-intelligence officer to help track the child down. Their investigation exposes a criminal trafficking network, but the truth proves far more complicated than expected—the boy, now called Marcus, has built a life in his Latvian foster home. As Polina pursues answers, the series explores the painful collision between a mother's desperate hope and a child's new reality.
