Virage(2021)

Virage is a French-language drama series following Frédérique Lessard, a three-time Olympic medalist confronting life after competitive sport. When she abruptly leaves her spouse and the family they'd planned together, Lessard faces an unexpected void. Stripped of the structure and purpose that elite athletics provided, she must learn to exist without the constant drive to perform and win. The series explores the psychological toll of retirement for world-class athletes, drawing inspiration from the real experiences of speed skater Marianne St-Gelais and other Olympians. It's a character study about identity, purpose, and the challenge of building a meaningful life beyond medals and records.
