Manatsu no Shonen: 1945–2020 is a Japanese series that blends time travel with coming-of-age drama. Three high school friends—Ryuji, Satoru, and Atsushi—discover a soldier named Sanpei who has mysteriously appeared from 1945 Guam, still wearing his military uniform and carrying a bayonet. The boys invite him to spend the summer with them, hoping his presence will transform their ordinary lives.
