Midnight Man(2008)

Midnight Man is a dark thriller series following Max Raban, a disgraced journalist reduced to sifting through bins for celebrity gossip. Crippled by a severe phobia of daylight, Max has lost his wife and daughter to his condition, but he's desperate for redemption through real investigative work. When he uncovers the murder of two Iranian cousins, Max begins to suspect a shadowy death squad is systematically targeting pro-Islamist figures—backed by a powerful organization waging perpetual war. As Max pursues the story, he must navigate dangerous political terrain and confront whether he can finally become the serious journalist he once was, or if his obsession will destroy what little remains of his life.
