If I See You in My Dreams is a romantic comedy series following Masuo, a perpetually single high schooler who's been told by a fortune-teller that loneliness is his destiny. When he develops feelings for the beautiful Nagisa, he finally musters the courage to pursue romance—only to face stiff competition from the charming Kaizuka and the unconventional Kujira. Determined to break his curse, Masuo throws himself into the pursuit, but his efforts are constantly derailed by his unfortunate talent for finding himself in compromising situations with other women at the worst possible moments.
