SOP(1997)

SOP was a Philippine noontime variety and music show that aired on GMA Network every Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Broadcast from Studio 4 at GMA Network Studios, the program's title stood for "Sobrang Okey, Pare!"—a Filipino phrase expressing delight and appreciation. GMA executives developed the concept in early 1997 as an interactive musical-variety replacement for the long-running GMA Supershow. The show spawned several spinoffs, including SOP Rules, SOP Gigsters, and SOP Fully Charged, extending its reach across different formats and audience segments throughout its run on Philippine television.
