TEPPACHI!(2022)

Teppachi! is a Japanese series following Hiroshi Kokusho, a former rugby star whose promising athletic career ended in injury and isolation. Years later, adrift and unemployed, Hiroshi hits rock bottom after a street fight costs him his construction job and apartment. When a mysterious man offers him work that promises meals and shelter, Hiroshi discovers the job is with Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force. The series chronicles his unlikely journey from drifting delinquent to soldier, blending comedy with the clash between his rough-edged past and military discipline. As Hiroshi adapts to regimented life, he discovers purpose and camaraderie he'd lost since his rugby days ended.
