W'jaa Trab(2006)

W'jaa Trab is a drama series inspired by Émile Zola's novel The Land, exploring how wealth and inheritance reshape family bonds. When wealthy farmer Mr. Ahmed divides his lands among his three children, his son Al-Mahidi refuses to abandon the family home. Al-Mahidi marries his cousin Sabura, who brings substantial wealth to the union, yet tension persists as he continues to pursue another cousin. The series examines the collision between tradition and ambition, duty and desire, as competing claims to land and legacy threaten to fracture the family. Greed, loyalty, and the weight of inheritance drive the narrative forward in this tale of rural life and domestic conflict.
