Gen Z(2023)

Gen Z is a Chinese drama series following Professor Ren Xinzheng, who leaves his position to establish a mentoring class dedicated to traditional Chinese medicine. Determined to pass on authentic knowledge to the next generation, he assembles an unlikely group of students: Sun Toutou, his own son Ren Tianzhen, former lawyer Yang Xiaohong, pediatrician Peng Shiyan, and aspiring physician Zhao Liquan. The five must overcome their clashing personalities and conflicting backgrounds to master the ancient healing practices and ensure the survival of their cultural heritage. As they navigate personal ambitions, professional rivalries, and the demands of rigorous training, the students discover that preserving traditional medicine requires more than technical skill—it demands unity and mutual respect. The series explores themes of mentorship, legacy, and the tension between honoring the past and embracing modern medicine.
