Bodyguards(2023)

Bodyguards is a Russian series following three boxers from Chelyabinsk who risk their careers for quick money. After competing in illegal underground fights before the World Championship, they're expelled from the national team by their coach. Facing disgrace and an uncertain future, the trio encounters a powerful Moscow lawyer during a chance confrontation at a restaurant. When the altercation lands them in police custody, the lawyer presents them with an ultimatum: work as his bodyguards or face prison time. The boxers accept the deal, trading their athletic ambitions for a new life protecting a man entangled in Moscow's dangerous underworld. Bodyguards blends sports drama with crime thriller elements as the three athletes navigate unfamiliar territory far from the boxing ring.
