Love Catcher Japan is a dating reality series that brings ten singles to Malaysia for eight days, where they compete under hidden identities to find romance or cash. Half the participants are "Love Catchers" genuinely seeking a relationship, while the other half are "Money Catchers" after a 5 million yen prize. The twist: if a Love Catcher pairs with another Love Catcher, true love wins. If a Love Catcher matches with a Money Catcher, the Money Catcher takes the prize. Two Money Catchers together means everyone leaves empty-handed. Deception and genuine emotion collide as contestants navigate attraction, strategy, and the question of whether real connection can survive when stakes—and secrets—are this high.
