Fraud Squad(1969)

Fraud Squad is a crime drama following Detective Inspector Gamble and Detective Sergeant Vicky Hicks as they investigate financial crimes for the Midlands Fraud Squad. Gamble is a maverick detective who regularly bends the rules, much to the exasperation of his superior, Superintendent Proud. Vicky starts as little more than a secretary, sidelined by her male counterpart, but gradually gains opportunities to prove her investigative worth. As the series progresses, she emerges from Gamble's shadow to become a capable detective in her own right. The show balances procedural crime-solving with character development, exploring how Vicky navigates a male-dominated workplace while Gamble's unorthodox methods continue to clash with departmental authority.
