Poor Prince(2001)

Poor Prince is a drama series about Tai Lang, a capable and charismatic student who hides a difficult truth behind his popular facade. Admired at school for his talents and rumored wealth, Tai Lang actually lives in poverty with his mother and six siblings in a cramped one-room home. His skills stem from shouldering adult responsibilities at a young age, not privilege. When Long Zi, a girl from a modest background, becomes attracted to him, she pursues a relationship hoping to escape her circumstances. Her feelings shift dramatically when she discovers that Tai Lang's supposed riches are nothing but rumors.
