The Science Club(2024)

The Science Club is a Japanese drama series following four struggling students at East Shinjuku Night High School. Delinquent Taketo spirals in negativity, Filipina-Japanese Angela battles academic obstacles, Kasumi hides away in the infirmary, and Shozo juggles work and education after years away. When charismatic science teacher Fujitake arrives, he inspires the unlikely group to collaborate on an experiment for an academic conference. As they work together, each student confronts personal demons and discovers unexpected potential. The series balances gritty realism with moments of hope, exploring how mentorship and community can transform lives on the margins of the education system.
