Masters of Madness(2025)

Masters of Madness is a football competition created by Dries Mertens and Jan Vertonghen that reimagines the sport for pure entertainment. Eight teams of ten players compete on a smaller field with fast-paced, high-energy matches designed to maximize action and spectacle. Each squad is coached by duos drawn from sports, media, and digital backgrounds, bringing fresh perspectives to the game. The format prioritizes innovation through unconventional rules and creative twists that keep play unpredictable and engaging. Masters of Madness strips away traditional football conventions to deliver something faster, more visually dynamic, and deliberately experimental—a competition built around entertainment as much as athletic skill.
