Kombinaciya(2024)

Kombinaciya is a Russian series set in 1987 that follows Alexander Shishinin, a former agricultural academy employee turned music producer, as he pursues his lifelong dream of forming a band. After the birth of his daughter inspires him to reinvent himself, Shishinin partners with talented composer Vitaly Okorokov to scout vocalists. The pair discover Tatiana Ivanova and Alena Apina on the streets of Saratov and assemble the Soviet Union's first all-female pop group. The series chronicles the real-life formation of Kombinaciya, one of the USSR's most iconic musical acts, capturing the ambition, creative collaboration, and cultural moment that launched their career during the final years of Soviet rule.
