Stand By Me is a Vietnamese series following Hoàng Khang, a twelfth-grade student caught between duty and desire. Raised by his grandmother's modest chè stall, he carries the weight of her financial struggles and refuses to burden her further. When Quốc, a caring and devoted friend, offers steady support, Hoàng Khang repeatedly pushes him away—unable or unwilling to accept help. The series explores the tension between independence and connection as these two young men navigate the pressures of adolescence and an uncertain future. Their relationship becomes the emotional core of a story about growing up, sacrifice, and learning to let others in.
