Star(2003)

Star is a comedy series following Bradley Fisher, a sixth-grader who has somehow achieved what most adults spend their lives chasing: fame, fortune, and universal envy. Despite his meteoric rise to celebrity status, Bradley remains trapped in the awkward reality of junior high school. The show explores the absurd collision between his glamorous public persona and the messy, unglamorous world of adolescence. While Bradley enjoys the trappings of stardom—wealth, recognition, and influence—he discovers that none of it shields him from the social chaos, academic pressures, and personal insecurities that define the middle school experience. Star mines comedy from this fundamental contradiction, asking what happens when a kid has everything the world tells him he should want, yet still faces the universal struggles of growing up.
