Heart of a Samurai(2009)

Heart of a Samurai is a 2009 Japanese historical drama that follows Naoe Kanetsugu, a 16th-century samurai whose life is shaped by the teachings of his mentor, Uesugi Kenshin. After Kenshin's death, Kanetsugu becomes a trusted advisor to Uesugi Kagekatsu, helping him navigate the treacherous politics of Echigo province during Japan's feudal era. The series explores themes of loyalty, honor, and righteousness as Kanetsugu discovers that true strength lies not in conquest, but in living with integrity.
