Stellvia of the Universe(2003)

Stelliva of the Universe is a science fiction series set in 2356 AD, 189 years after a catastrophic electromagnetic shockwave devastated Earth. The disaster was triggered by Hydrus Beta, a star 20 light-years away, going supernova. Humanity has since rebuilt civilization and united under a common purpose: preparing for the arrival of a second, far more dangerous shockwave. Unlike the first, this incoming wave carries massive amounts of stellar matter that threaten what remains of human civilization. The series follows humanity's race against time as they work to develop defenses and strategies to survive the approaching catastrophe.
