Cardfight!! Vanguard is a series about Aichi Sendou, a shy middle schooler who discovers purpose through a trading card game. When the confident high schooler Toshiki Kai introduces him to Vanguard—a strategic card battle game set on the fictional planet Clay—Aichi's life changes. The game captivates him immediately. He joins friends Misaki Togura and Kamui Katsuragi to compete, driven by a single goal: to prove himself worthy against Kai, one of the world's best players. Armed with a cherished card called Blaster Blade from his childhood, Aichi trains relentlessly, pouring his heart into every match.
