Body Language(1984)
Body Language is an American game show that aired on CBS from June 1984 to January 1986. Hosted by Tom Kennedy, the series pitted two teams—each pairing a contestant with a celebrity guest—against each other in a hybrid format blending charades and word puzzles. Players had to interpret body language and gestures to solve clues, then tackle word puzzles for cash prizes. The show drew inspiration from earlier Mark Goodson Productions hits like Showoffs and Password Plus, combining their competitive energy with physical comedy. Johnny Olson provided announcing duties until his death in October 1985, after which Gene Wood and Bob Hilton shared the role. Body Language captured the fast-paced, accessible spirit of 1980s game shows, offering viewers a mix of celebrity interaction and puzzle-solving gameplay.
