Weakest Link(2001)

Weakest Link is an American game show that adapted the British format across two distinct runs. The primetime version launched on NBC in April 2001, challenging contestants to answer trivia questions while voting off the "weakest link" each round. It ran for roughly sixteen months before concluding in 2002, with final episodes later airing on PAX and GSN. A daily syndicated version debuted in early 2002 and continued for eighteen months, ending in May 2003. Both iterations tested players' knowledge and strategy as they competed for a shared prize pool that dwindled with each elimination. Though no longer in active rotation, reruns of both series have appeared on cable outlets including GSN, which holds broadcast rights to the primetime format.
