Ace of Wands(1970)

Ace of Wands is a British fantasy series that aired on ITV from 1970 to 1972. The show follows Tarot, a young magician who blends stage illusions with genuine supernatural abilities. Accompanied by his owl companion Ozymandias, Tarot navigates a world of mystery and wonder across three seasons. Created by Trevor Preston and Pamela Lonsdale and produced by Thames Television, the series employed serialised storytelling similar to Doctor Who of the era, with fourteen interconnected story arcs. The first two seasons comprised thirteen episodes each, while the third season expanded to twenty episodes. Much of the early material is believed lost to the BBC's archival purge, though the final season survives intact. Ace of Wands remains a cult classic of children's television from the era.
