Roosevelt Game(2014)

Roosevelt Game is a Japanese drama series based on Ikeido Jun's novel, following Hosokawa Mitsuru as he navigates corporate turmoil at Aoshima, a precision tools manufacturer. Recruited from outside by the company's founder, Mitsuru faces immediate resentment from entrenched executives who wanted the top job. When the global financial crisis hits, Aoshima spirals toward collapse. Desperate to stabilize cash flow, Mitsuru proposes selling the company's beloved baseball club—a move that triggers fierce resistance from long-serving employees, including rival Sasai Kotaro, and the club's manager Mikami Fumio. As sabotage from competitors compounds internal conflict, Mitsuru must outmaneuver his opponents and save the company from ruin. The series explores ambition, loyalty, and survival in a recession-era business landscape.
