Thicker Than Water is a Swedish drama series set on the idyllic island of Sunnanö in the archipelago, where a popular B&B becomes the unlikely stage for family reckoning. When matriarch Anna-Lisa dies, her will forces her three estranged adult children—Oskar, Jonna an actress, and Lasse a schemer—to run the business together for a year to inherit it. It's Anna-Lisa's final attempt to reunite them. As the siblings navigate their enforced cohabitation, they're forced to confront buried family secrets, old tensions, and a dark truth hidden on the island itself. What begins as a business arrangement becomes an emotional excavation, testing whether blood ties can survive years of distance and resentment.
