Subsolo(2018)

Subsolo is a Portuguese series following five young people navigating life in the margins of Lisbon. By day, they attempt to integrate into the city's established social hierarchies. By night, they inhabit an underground world where their suppressed desires and impulses surface freely. The show explores the tension between conformity and authenticity, between the facades people present and the raw truths they hide. Set against Lisbon's gritty underbelly, Subsolo captures the restless energy of youth caught between two worlds—one of compromise and expectation, the other of liberation and consequence. It's a raw, intimate portrait of searching for identity and belonging in a city that often demands you disappear.
