Life as a Girl is a Japanese drama series following Miki Ogawa, a transgender woman who left her rural hometown to pursue her dream of living authentically in the city. Working at a fashion mail order company, Miki has built a new life with a carefully constructed identity—until Tadaomi Goto, a former classmate, unexpectedly reappears. Shocked by Miki's transformation, Tadaomi becomes her unlikely roommate, forcing both characters to confront their past and navigate the complexities of identity, acceptance, and connection. As they share living space, their relationship deepens, challenging assumptions and exploring what it truly means to live as your authentic self.
