Corner the Con Man(1997)

Corner the Con Man is a crime drama series following Sing Gwok-dung, a detective demoted from the Anti-Serious Crime unit to the seemingly minor Anti-Swindler Unit. Resentful of his transfer and his new superior Gong Yut-guk, Gwok-dung's attitude shifts when his idol, Inspector Lam Zi-ho, takes his own life after falling victim to elaborate con artists and mounting debt. Determined to avenge Zi-ho's death, Gwok-dung and Yut-guk begin investigating the circumstances surrounding the suicide. As they dig deeper into the case, the pair uncover far more than they bargained for, exposing a web of deception that challenges everything they thought they knew about their fallen colleague.
