Life on the Line(2018)

Life on the Line is a Hong Kong series following Mak Chay-tin, a principal ambulanceman grieving his wife's death in a hit-and-run accident. Living with his daughter, sister, and sister-in-law, Chay-tin navigates the pressures of leading an ambulance team while mentoring younger staff. His impulsive subordinate Cheuk Ka-kit clashes with the team's rigid training director Tam Ka-jun, who demands perfection. Caught between conflicting personalities, Chay-tin works to maintain unity and foster professional excellence among his crew. As he balances personal loss with his duty to save lives in high-stakes emergency situations, the series explores the emotional toll of frontline rescue work and the bonds forged between colleagues under pressure.
