Designer Baby(2015)

Designer Baby is a Japanese crime thriller centered on the abduction of a newborn daughter belonging to renowned physical engineer Hiroshi Chikamori. Detective Yuri Hayami, eight months pregnant herself, is assigned to go undercover at the hospital to observe the baby's mother, Yuko, while working alongside Detective Fukuske Dobashi, who poses as her husband. As the investigation unfolds, suspicion falls on Doctor Susami, who lacks an alibi for the time of the kidnapping. When the abductor makes contact with a ransom demand, Yuri must navigate the case while managing her own pregnancy. Based on Takashi Okai's novel, the series weaves together maternal instinct, detective work, and the psychological tension of a high-stakes kidnapping.
