Rijal Al-Izz(2011)

Rijal Al-Izz is a Syrian period drama set in 1930s Damascus under French occupation. The series follows Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shami, a man wrongfully condemned to death who escapes and becomes a feared resistance fighter against the colonial forces. As he wages his struggle, Al-Shami must contend with betrayal and injustice from within his own community in the Saroujeh neighborhood. The 2011 drama stars Rashid Assaf and Qusai Khouli, delivering a tense portrait of survival, honor, and resistance during a turbulent period of Syrian history.
