Five Brides(2012)

Five Brides is a Soviet comedy set in May 1945, just as World War II ends. Fighter pilot Vadik Dobromyslov is desperate to marry his pen pal Nastya and leave Berlin, but military service keeps him grounded. He convinces his friend Lesha to travel home to Nastya's village and marry her on Vadik's behalf, using forged documents to bring her back legally. The plan spirals when Lesha's comrades learn of the scheme—suddenly he's tasked with marrying off four more soldiers' brides in a single day. What begins as one soldier's shortcut to love becomes a frantic race against the clock as Lesha juggles multiple weddings across a Russian village, each marriage a legal fiction designed to reunite lovesick pilots with their sweethearts.
