Toong Sanaeha(2020)

Toong Sanaeha is a Thai drama set in a 1970s village where childhood sweethearts Paitoon and Yupin face impossible odds. When Paitoon enters monkhood, his mother Pao seizes the chance to separate them, forcing Yupin to marry Paitoon's disabled brother Praiwan instead—a union born from Pao's disapproval of Yupin's gambling-addicted father. Now bound as in-laws, Paitoon and Yupin must navigate their forbidden feelings while trapped by family duty and social expectation. The series explores whether love can survive when duty demands sacrifice, and whether two people can find a way back to each other when every path forward seems blocked.
